When I wrote the blog about ungrateful people http://www.aaatkinsonperry.com/you-could-do-so-many-things-for-them-and-the-moment-you-cant-do-one-you-are-not-good-and-not-worthy-to-be-kept-as-a-friend/ my stepmom sent me a message that had me really think. She said ingratitude is not only where friends and family are concerned but you with the Almighty. When my Dad died she realized that instead of just sitting and thinking and having a pity party about all the things that were wrong she looked back and realized what a fantastic time she had with him. That stopped any incline of ingratitude in its tracks. She realized she had to be grateful to the Almighty. Her thoughts gave me food for thought. Do we show this gratitude enough?

When I open my eyes in the morning I have to say thank you God for taking me safely through the night. Thank you for family and friends, a roof over my head, a car to take my children to school and a job to go be productive. I have been blessed and I have to be grateful for what has been given and for what I will receive. Ask and it shall be given, knock and it shall be open. If however you show no gratitude to the Almighty then those words will mean nada.

Have you ever wondered why some people will always grumble that nothing happens for them? Could it be that they show no gratitude for what they have and therefore it’s almost impossible for them to see that as long as there is life, there is hope and possibilities abound. The mindset is extremely important. A mindset that focuses on gratitude will produce great things. It also gives a great level of peace. This helps to give life some meaning and lifts your spirt. Don’t believe me, try it.

Let us know how you show the Almighty gratitude and what having that gratitude does for you in your daily life. If you never thought about it and realize that you need to develop the attitude, what will you or can you do? I really want to know what you are thinking, and I know others do too.
