The wind does not break the tree that bends”

Tanzanian proverb.

Flexibility. When I saw this quote that was the word that came to me. How can we become more flexible? How do we bend with the wind so as to ensure that we don’t break? Do we even want to be flexible or stand straight and strong? Do we even know that sometimes we have to move with the flow? Nature has quite a bit to teach us if we are willing to listen and learn. Yes we can learn from nature and others. The way some persons talk and behave you would think they are the only ones that have a big brain and thus they have a monopoly on knowledge.

It’s interesting to see persons that stand in their wrong, knowingly or unknowingly. No movement because it doesn’t show strength to bend one bit. It doesn’t mean you are weak if you allow yourself to bend sometimes 😉. As a matter of fact in my mind that’s where you show strength. What do you think?

I was thinking about the persons that would be considered great leaders and I notice that they seem to embody this quote. Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King, Mahatma Gandhi, Marcus Garvey, etc. Yes they were strong in their convictions but notice how they would evolve when the need arise. 🤔. You don’t have to agree with their ideas but see how they did what was needed with ease. Now I’m wondering if it’s innate or is it something learnt? Interesting, what do you think?

I really want to know what you are thinking, and I know others do too. Try commenting 👍🏽, but if you are not comfortable, reach out to me via any medium.
