I have met many persons throughout my life and it’s interesting to talk to them and watch how they portray themselves. Some have identified themselves as a brand, some through their families and some through work, others through their wealth. Is work how you identify yourself or some other way?

How do you really see yourself? Are you that person that looks in the mirror and sees a lion looking back or are you the one that always disappear in the background? Do you have imposter syndrome or are you comfortable in your own skin?

It’s important to really understand yourself as it makes it easier to see how and why you react to events and people. I know for example that I’m an introvert although I exhibit extrovert tendencies. As I told a friend I figured out how to do this by mimicking my parents. They were both extroverts and could sell ice to Eskimo 😁. It was interesting to see how they interacted with people. They were good.

I spent a lot of time by myself growing up. I read a lot and later travelled a lot all by myself. I had many friends, don’t get me wrong but I would feel more comfortable by myself. It felt great and I really got to know me. It’s easy for me during this pandemic as I like being by myself and being with my immediate family. It’s fine for me to be on lock down.

I see myself not through my work, through church or through family. I see me as me and that is what I push out to everybody. It would be strange for two persons to describe me differently. Well I don’t think so. Let me know what you think. I like being me and want all to see me as the same person. One personality, not multiply personalities.

I know so many that work is their life. Work defines them but that’s not me and has never been me nor will it ever be. How do you define yourself or do you even allow yourself to be defined?

I really want to know what you are thinking, and I know others do too. Try commenting 👍🏽, but if you are not comfortable, reach out to me via any medium. Your comments let me know how you feel and very often give me a total different perspective on the topic. 😉. And you can never tell your comment might help others.
