Can money buy happiness? Is it a case quoting Biggie Smalls, “mo money, mo problems?” Some persons say no while other say it depends on how you spend it. Is it what you spend the money on that makes you happier? Is it the things spent on or the experiences that make you happier? In my mind it’s the experiences that I have had that has taken me to my happy place. I will always remember traveling, going to concerts or partying. Those experiences I will never forget and they made me happy. I realized that spending on those experiences forced me to not buy many other things I wanted. I had to make decisions this or that. Would I still have many of the things that I bought? I doubt it. What do you think?

Can money make you happy? It’s the strangest thing when I asked two persons the same question right beside each other it was interesting. One said yes, temporarily and the other said no, definitively. That’s when you realize it’s one of those things that makes you say to each their own. This question is one that makes me realize how different we are. We all see things from our own perspective. The question is do we do this because of how we lived life or how we were raised or just from how we envision life to be or should be?

Money can make us smile as we like the creature comforts of life. The question is does it give more than a smile or are we forever trying to get more so that we get that initial good feeling? I have heard stories of persons that have said when they started making money they thought they would get happier the more they got but that never panned out. Then there are the ones who say if I had more money I would be in a happier place. Is that really true? Money might not make you happy but it sure makes life easier. The fact is living without it can make life hell. What do you think? Can money make us happy or is it you who determine what makes you happy and at the end of the day how things make you happy?
