How do we get to know ourselves? Do we even want to get to know ourselves? Is it important to get to know yourself or not? I personally think it’s very important to get to know yourself or you won’t grow as much as you should if at all.
I realized early enough in life that spending time with yourself is important. I like spending time with me and a book or just sitting and doing nothing. I spent time traveling by myself and thus only had my mind as company. It was easy for me as in some ways I’m a loner and introvert. Yes I am believe it or not.
I don’t remember ever hearing the phrase “you have changed” any time in my life. I think the main reason would have been just getting to know me and understanding where my moral compass was made that difference. What are your standards? Will you stand for what you should or fall for anything? Believe me these questions and answers are extremely important. Ask yourself all of these and not once or twice but as often as possible so that you can see what’s happening in your life. It is after all your life. No one else can live it for you so why not know you as best you can?
Even the Bible mentions the concept to getting to know yourself and I think it’s so you can be close to the Almighty. Do note this is my personal opinion and please don’t get twisted out of shape about it. 🤔
