A joyful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit dries up the bones. – Proverbs 17:22

We have always heard the saying that laughter is the best medicine. Quote above taken from the Bible is right on target. A friend said this to me in a conversation. I said it’s so great to be able to laugh as it releases so much and she threw out this Bible quote. A joyful heart is so much more than laughter it’s about that happy feeling. It’s knowing how to be happy, how to be joyful.

When you have that great joyful feeling it is the best medicine but when you have that down feeling it will make you feel like crap. Yes it will, trust me in this. That’s why I try to keep that happy feeling. It’s not the easiest thing in the world. It’s about keeping that positive feeling around you. Not only the positive feeling but people. If you also don’t have the right people around you then that broken spirit will decimate you. You have to have positive persons around you or the energy vampires will suck you dry. Stop and think about it. That’s why I try to surround myself with like minded persons. It makes it even more relevant now with Rona here. She trying to keep you down and if you not strong and have strong persons around you, it’s going to be rough.

Show me your friends and I will tell you who you are

So how do we ensure that we always stand in the joyful aspect of life and not be in that broken state. Is it possible or is it really necessary? Should we just go along with what is happening or is the decision even ours to make?
