If you had the opportunity to invite some persons to dinner who would you ask? It doesn’t matter who they are and let’s limit it to how many persons can fit at your dinning table. When I thought of writing this blog I had asked someone and he immediately told me who he would ask, it was as if he had thought this out for a while. He also stopped at six persons as his dinning table would only seat six. He would fit himself in somehow 😁. His six persons were Queen Elizabeth, Churchill, Hitler, 🤦🏾‍♀️. I can’t remember the others. I will have to call him to get the others. Any way I remember my three, my table can only fit four and I want to be in the middle of the conversation. My three persons are Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King. Thinking about it I’m going to be like my friend and push to the side cause I would love to also have Mother Theresa.

While writing I now remember that a similar question was asked of me in high school and it’s the same persons that I would want to talk to then are the same persons now. These persons made such a tremendous impact not only on their countries but on the whole world. They were normal every day person that found a cause and persons they had to fight for. I don’t think any of them would have thought growing up that they would change the world.

I can just imagine what a conversation it would be with these wise, compassionate and really bright persons. The thought of it gives me goose bumps. Imagine being able to ask them anything and get into their minds to know why they did what they did. That why my friend wanted to talk to Hitler, as he wants to understand why he did what he did and what he expected to achieve. I on the other hand just thought he was a crazy person that wanted to just rule the world. I like to keep crazy far from my mind as they bring drama and negativity. That’s why the persons that I selected are the ones I would sit with. They show calm, normal and strength. Well that what I see and think.

I love autobiographies as I get so much from what others have done. I always believe that you don’t have to do something but someone might have done it already and you can learn from them. Why reinvent the wheel? There is so much to learn from these persons. Well I guess if I might never get to sit with them at dinner I will do the next best thing and learn as much about them as possible. Books and YouTube university are there to teach. Also they become your mentors without even knowing 😁. So much to learn and so little time.

In my mine’s eye I’m just seeing the dinner and the depth of the conversation. No shouting and me just asking questions and listening. Can you imagine Mandela, King, Gandhi and Mother Theresa in one room. The calm, the wisdom of the personnel would be something that I would want to be a part of. I know I would learn so much as I would listen as I love to do and ask questions. That’s the easiest way to learn for me.
